It's getting really annoying, the longer my computer is open the more ram this Intel Rapid Storage process just keep eating non-stop. Right now after 4 houres it's at 485Mb out of my 8Gb. It also seems to extremly slow down my Internet browsing with Chrome while it would just BSOD when using IE9. I also suspect it's the cause why I get after a long period and thank god it's very rare, BSOD while gaming with always the 0x000000124 code which is about HDD/SSD.

Is it doing the same thing for any of you and does anybody have an explanation for this?

Here's a picture of my computer specs if any needs the info.

Uninstall and install the latest available?
Other than that, can't help you. I've been on my PC for the last 6 hours or so and my iastordatasvc is only taking 12Mb.
The version I'm using is 10.8.0.1003, which isn't exactly the latest by now, but still pretty recent. From your picture, I'm guessing your windows is in French? If so, you have to take "iata_cd.exe", which is the multilingual one. Here's a link for the latest available:

Hmm I usualy always have the latest driver for absolutely everything I have. My Windows 7 64bit was english but then I've installed the french pack. I highly doubt the multilingual setup of Intel's RapidStorage is any different than the english one other than having the interface in the same language of ur OS.

When I downloaded the one from Intel it said mine were more recent O_o. I have the v11.5.0.1207 while I think on Intel's official website it's still at the old v11.2.0.1006

that is strange...for me that service is only at 4mb...
and my system is on 24/7 - windows 7 64 bit as well.

edit: i am only using a regular HDD, not an ssd...could that have anything to do with it?

There's a memory leak with 11.5.
Rollback to 11.2 and you'll be fine.

Ya there's definitely a leak. FFS I was over 720Mb a few minutes ago.. I killed the process and it didn't appear to do anything. I'll definitely overwrite with the 11.2
