I'm looking to upgrade my GPU ( or RAM ) without breaking the bank.

I mainly play LOTRO on my homebuilt PC ( most of my gaming is done on my PS4 Pro ) but I still need my MMO fix and would like to bump up in-game graphics and improve vid lag.

I'm currently using an Evga GTX560 1GB DDR5 GPU. I'd like to stick with nVidia.

System specs:

ASUS MB P8Z77-V LK

i5 3570k GPU

8GB DDR3 extreme masters RAM PC3-12800 l1600MHz

PSU IS 620W

Any thoughts on a decent upgrade under 200?

Thanks in advance to anyone replying!

Forgot to add space isn't a big issue.

Have a full size ATX tower.

OC CPU with a good heatsink.
ram is fine for 8gb.

If you play MMO, then you will want an SSD for the OS and games. Many MMO take full advantage performance from SSD.
For GPU GTX1060/RX580 those are good choices. If those prices are too much then GTX1050 Ti or RX570.

What kind of 620w PSU you have?

Thanks for the quick response.

PSU is an Antec High Current Gamer 620W

Forgot to add HDD info. I have a WD Blue 500Gb SATA 3 7200rpm.

Thanks.

Re: OCing I know my MB supports it but I've not changed any settings thus far.

I'm using the stock fan that came with the CPU, I'm not sure I'd want to change that. Doesn't that involve scraping or using alcohol to clean the existing heatsink? The stock fan should be good enough ad is no?

I have 3 fans in the case I added during the build. Heat temp levels seem okay but my current GPU runs under load at 75-78 C.

All video cards are currently sold out and a GTX 1050 Ti at over $200 + tax doesn't make sense. I would recommend buying a used card, so many you can find under $200 that are wayy stronger than the 560.

7950 / 7970 / R9 280 / R9 280x , GTX 680 / 770 / 780. Search those up on the classifieds and you should find someone who's not inflated the price due to mining.
