So,

Looking to do a new build in stages off the AMD Ryzen platform - so I can leverage some of my older parts and upgrade later as needed.

Looking to get everyone's opinion if it's worth it, or should I hold out for an entirely new build.

Here's what I'm looking to start with:
- AMD RYZEN 7 1700X
- ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero
- CORSAIR Vengeance LED 32GB DDR4 3200 (CMU32GX4M2C3200C16R)

Would be looking to still use my Samsung Evo 850, 750watt PSU, and at least one AMD 7950 (until I can afford a 1080 or next gen). I'd also stick with the stock cooler until I can get a new case that fits a liquid cooling unit...

Thoughts?

I'd use a b350 board instead of the super expensive crosshair hero

Not knowing the psu model or age, can comment on it. The other parts should be fine to reuse.
Do you really need 32GB of memory?

Get the B350 board and 16GB of RAM as the others suggested and you might have enough left over to upgrade your GPU now.

The asus prime plus or msi tomahawk B350 mobos are sufficient.

You're sooo close to Zen 2 early 2018 with a 7nm shrink and ipc boost I know it's hard to resist but I'm sure you'd be better off waiting.

I've had the upgrade bug too with my FX8350 but I keep resisting because there's good stuff coming.

No release date for desktop yet but looks good ^.
