Hey guys,

I've decided to part with my 1080ti because of time constraints. I bought it in May and only had one real gaming session during that time period. Obviously not your ideal return as far as entertainment value is concerned. Thus, I've decided to quit this hobby.

Any idea how much aftermarket 1080ti's are going for on the used market?

Ugh, that's awful (for me anyway). I guess I'll price it at $1000 on craigslist and hope people don't lowball too hard.

For $1000 I would just buy new. Even at 800 I would still be tempted just to have the assurance that it is new then to buy someone else's hardware which may or may not have issues.

Really? At $1000 you'd still be saving $200. Maybe you're just saying that for the sake of it. In any case, I'm listing high because people low-ball. I don't expect people to offer $1000 for it.

If I list it at $900 - I'll be getting low ball offers in the 700's. There's a reason you list high. That being said, you're not gonna to find my variant for less than $900, that I can assure you.

A couple of used 1080ti cards just sold for about $850 each on HWC. They were reference style and not Asus but probably somewhere in that range.

If you list at $1000, people will just ignore it.

Yeah, ignore the low-ballers and just put it up for 50-100$ more than you are willing to take for it.

You will get the more proper buyers asking about it.

Dont want the good buyers to ignore the ad.

Hey adz124, You ready to buy that early x-mas present? The mightiest of them all: Mitsubishi 2070SB-BK

Ive decided to let it go to a good home, and it wont cost anywhere near 2k$.

Canadian prices are a big higher but i often use the reddit hardwareswap site for a price check. The last one that sold was a day ago for $725 USD shipped.

I'm with Dr. Steve, at $1000 I wouldn't even give you an offer. I don't think I'd pay much over $800 for a used TI regardless of make/model.

Well, that's your opinion. When someone lists an item for $1000 OBO (of course you're not going to offer my asking price). In any case - I already have a buyer coming tonight.

And Jake,

Lol. Thanks but no thanks, mate. I'm getting too old for gaming :)

This just isnt true.

I bought an 1200$ monitor for 850$.

A very good deal i would say. It will be 4-5yrs before its only worth half.

You will be waiting quite some time for 1080ti to be half price also. They are worth a lot more than 1/2. 2 generations probably before the higher end is worth half.

adz124,

Yeah i know what you mean, my best gaming days are behind im afraid also...... sad day.

Still game quite a bit and dont plan to stop, but the 6hrs a day average is gone.

Getting harder every year to keep Alien status, and bragging about it a lot more cause im losing it haha

I managed to get a used 1080Ti off CL for $550. It didn't come with a cooler, but I already had a waterblock on me so the card being naked was no problem. Besides that hex screws are a little tricky to remove with no proper tools, so less work for me.

The deal seemed a bit sketchy first as the history behind the videocard was unclear, and the seller was clueless, but the videocard works fine and a good deal I got is all I care about.
