I'm looking to use a cloud service to backup all of my photos, docs, etc... and I use Google Photos on my iPhone, but would like something to backup my PC.

I saw "Jungle" drive has unlimited for 59/year CDN. Which is cheaper than the rest.

Anyone use this before, or have recommendations?

I have my PC, my parents and my in-laws that I would like to backup, total storage is under 2TB.

Thanks!

Check out Backblaze.
I am using a business account for home as it gives me group controls. One of the things I really like with Backblaze is they don't have any default limitations on what is being backed up. Many unlimited cloud back up offerings have size and file type filters that can leave gaps in your data.
One thing I really don't like is that they don't have a Linux client yet.

$5/month per PC, that will be quite a bit more than Jungle Drive or Idrive.

I haven't tried them, but they have the resources to make it work. One thing to confirm is no fees on downloads (i.e. 1GB up and storage is free but a restore may cost money). IDrive has been very good to me ...

Do you use iDrive to backup your entire PC? How's the speed up and down? Are there fees to download/restore?

Is there some reason for not using Google Photos to backup the pc? There are versions available for Mac and PC (Windows 7 +).

it would work, but I need to backup PCs to it, not just photos. That's why Google Photos is fine for my phone.

I only use it to backup parts of my system (important files) for easy access, on multiple machines. I do image level system backups using something else and those are not cloud backed (carried offsite). Speed wise it is pretty good, never really had an issue as I haven't had to do a multi-GB restore ever. Few files here and there. Just did a test and it ended up around 4MB/s down (32mbit). No fees.

why wouldn't you image it and upload to idrive as well?

is Idrive pricing CAD or USD currency? I got an email saying I can get 2tb for $17.38 for the first year.

Not sure if that's USD or CAD.

Nothing against them, it just that Uploading 2TB+ a week isn't my idea of fun lol. Plus the system backups alone would eat all my quota. I just pull a USB drive and carry it with me. It would certainly work though, I have a bit different environment with a local backup tier and offsite and a dozen VMs to backup etc.

Its USD, unless something has changed.

Ah okay, I don't have that much at all.

I'll give them a try. Can't go wrong with 18$ USD a year for 2tb.

Thanks!

For the first year not a year.
Site pricing lists it at $70 USD a year after that. I'm pretty sure you already know that, but I thought it could be relevant information for some to mention here.

Yeah they also mess with the plans a lot, so getting a good deal and holding on to it can be useful. My plan doesn't exist anymore (SMB Team) and the equiv is 5x more expensive lol. Check if there is a multi-year as well.

I like https://www.arqbackup.com/ myself. Data is encrypted on your machine before being backed up. Backups are incremental. Restoring is a breeze. Works with a bunch of cloud providers.
