Synthetic is only interesting to me when it's a CPU review. FPS min/max at a various resolutions is more what I'd expect for a review in regards to a gaming PC.

Benchmarks for games people actually play.

I don't give a **** what kind of fps it gets in tomb raider no one ****ing plays it

Also if it gets 25fps on ultra 4k I don't give a **** use appropriate settings, not settings designed to delineate a titan xp from a 1080ti

From a gaming point of view 1080p/1440p seem to be realistic resolutions to test on, more common place CPUs like FX8350, Ryzen 5 1600, i7 4c/8t variant and at least one i5. More coverage of real ppls GPUs like Rx580/GTX1060/GTX1070. Avg fps means squat post at least min / max fps along with avg very few review sites do this because max fps can shape the avg and the min fps gets hidden hence shaping reviews to fit your needs, what good is a gpu with a hi avg that dips down to 20-25 min fps.

I like Tech Deals for spreading over a variety of hardware.

I would like to see actual benchmarks of games that are bottlenecked by the CPU. Most benches don't show much of a difference between CPUs because they are usually constrained by the GPU. Small increases in IPC are very apparent in games like FSX, P3D, and X-Plane, but these are rarely if ever benchmarked in gaming PC reviews that I've seen.
