I have set up a wallet with Bitgo, how do I access that $? can I transfer to my bank account?

With coinbase or quadrigacx (or so I've been told?), someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Coach, here's a pic of the HW for setup this weekend

2x Pentium G5620's
2x Asus H170 Pro Gaming
2x 4GB Corsair DDR4 2400mhz
4x MSI GTX 1070 Mini ITX
4x PNY GTX 1070 Blower
2x EVGA SuperNova 850w G3

likely going to order 4x GTX 1080 Ti on Tuesday...I've got 2x 650w G3 I can combine with my 850w, which is enough power for all those bits.

I am interested to see how his rig goes. IMO buying hardware for dedicated mining comes with some pressure. "What if...?" would run through my mind a lot. There is the crypto market to consider, new mining tech on the horizon (volta etc etc), resale on tech you paid full price for if it all goes south, etc etc.

Yeah, but Mr. Friendly seems like a level headed guy, sure there is risk, investing $3000-$4000, if it all goes south in 3 months he can re-sell his parts for near asking price on fleabay for what he paid (there are people in other countries who pay way more for tech parts). And after the 3 months he's probably made his cash back on his GPU's, so really, not that big of a risk, still a risk.

You mean to say you profit 4.5k$ every 3months with 8xGTX1070?

no, I would guess ~$1k per month as is. But difficulty is bound to increase and who knows what BTC will do... Mining is done by the seat of ones pants IMO.

It would take 25 GTX 1070's to earn $100/day at current rates?

due to the lack of 1070's, I'm probably going to go with 1080 Ti's.

but even those are getting scarce now. i used to have access to hundreds...now it's down to a few handfuls. :(

got 4 on hold for me to decide if that's what I want to top up my current 1070's with as I have space for 12 GPU but only have 8 1070's.

My 1080Ti only makes about $5 (USD) per day according to NiceHash, and the card uses about 60 cents of power each day. It'll take about 6 months just to cover the cost of the GPU alone. Am I missing something?

Profitability has slid in a huge way. Two weeks ago it would have been earning more than twice that per day.

Mining is volatile, always has been. In other news, water is wet.

More news at 10!

$100 million in GPUs added to the ether network at the end of June http://markets.businessinsider.com/currencies/news/nvidia-stock-price-is-getting-a-huge-boost-from-ethereum-2017-6-1002112745?utm_source=markets&utm_medium=ingest
The article guesses that at 10 million more MH/s divided by 30MH/s per card equaling 333,333 more cards. It also thinks that ~ $275 is the cost of each card and IMHO it is likely higher than that on avg. Any way you cut it that many more cards is bound to increase mining difficulty.

That's assuming all the GPUs recently added are all new though. Likely the majority are new, but hard to tell. Just about everybody is trying to get in on the action even with old cards.

DOH!!! I have Sky Lake chipset (H170) and Kaby Lake CPU's. they'll work together, but only after the mobo is flashed to recognize the Pentiums.

anyone in Vancouver with Skylake CPU I can borrow for a few minutes?

hey guru, NiceHash client mines whatever is the most profitable, but pays you out in BTC.

if you want Ethereum, you'll have to sell/trade your BTC for iit.

or, get a second GPU and use it to mine Ethereum only.

Oh okay, if it mines what's most profitable that's good enough for me. I'll maybe look into trading currencies after studying more about this whole thing !

Hey Friendly, how's the build going? Got some pics of the rigs for us?

I'm having some problems with my mining rig. Nice hash crashes and the error that appears is "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware"

I'm using Windows 10 Home
2x EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW in SLI
Ryzen 5 1600
MSI X370 GAMING PLUS
2x8gb Ripjaws V Series 16GB PC4-25600

I tried the few fixes I found on Google, tried running as admin, removed and reinstalled the video drivers.

Any suggestions?

Antivirus software? Not sure if it can do that but these miners are often picked up as malware due to well people getting infected and having these run in the background. I know I had to exclude mine as it kept getting deleted lol.

I'll try that Entz, if that doesn't work I'll reinstall windows. I hope its not the video cards

GTX1070s have another hit down to $2.80 usd before power a day, he might want to contemplate returning some..

It's been a steady decline for the last 3 wks, GTX1060 21MHs only generates $2.10 usd today.
