I need a couple 24" monitors. I want thin bezel to make for a more seamless continuity.

VA is preferred, but if IPS is where it's at...so be it.

I'm going from some mediocre Samsung/BenQ models that I've been hobbling along on after selling my Dell U2412...can't remember if it's H or M. their IPS glow were really getting to me.

they're going on a dual monitor arm, so stand ergonomics are unimportant.

I will admit, I am not against an Ultrawide...but if I went that way, it would need to be at least 32" and 1440p.

I am looking at the BenQ PD3200Q as well...

I bought an ultrawide LG 34UC97-S a couple of years ago which is 3440x1440. I love it even though it cost two arms and two legs. Immersive for gaming and great for productivity. Watching panoramic movies on it with no black bars is epic. I got a 29" ultrawide for the wife to use for work - she hooks up her Dell laptop to it. She says she can never go back to a normal sized monitor now for productivity. Also having two less cables makes desk cable management much easier.

At work I have two 24" Viewsonics and I can honestly say I wish I had a single ultrawide instead. Sometimes Windows does weird things with spanned monitors. My icons move around on their own. :(

Yup. I paid a little over $1000 for my LG. I had cognitive dissonance at the time just over the cost/value, but almost two years in now and I have zero regrets.

Speaking of smart things like cognitive dissonance and such where has DJZ been lately? MIA!
